Our musical theatre class allows students to explore and develop their skills in all aspects of performance, creating a fun and dynamic learning environment for all levels of performers.

This class teaches students how to incorporate elements of acting and singing into dance to develop a well-rounded understanding of performance. Depending on the requirements of the musical being studied, students may learn various dance styles, such as jazz, tap, ballet, and contemporary dance.

 

They may also work on developing their acting abilities through exercises that help them connect with their characters and deliver convincing performances on stage. Students may work with props, canes, and hats.

All classes are once per week in one-hour sessions.

Required Dance Attire: 

Females - Plain black leotard, black tights (youth), black jazz pants (adults), and black jazz shoes.

Males - Black pants, black t-shirt and black jazz shoes.
